Eliyahu is receiving a facelift: The relocation/rebuilding urban renewal project Pinui-Binui Festival

On March 2017, a parade left the building of the Ramat Eliyahu Art Workshop, and began marching towards the Ramat Eliyahu open air market.

With live music performances, art installations on wheels, performance, circus artists, the strudel.com community theatre, Tenu’at Tarbut/ Culture Movement, and “The Skywalker” – Maor Fine, the “man on the tightrope.”

At 6:15 p.m, a live broadcast took place on Radio Kol Hamedina Habaa.
“Voice of the Next Country Radio” created an open plaza for the “Speech Act” all about the community. Participants were speakers who presented their vision for the community at the open mic for residents.

Radio Kol Hamedina Habaa – Live broadcast from Ramat Eliyahu
The radio station is a broadcast station for the city plaza, a platform for freedom of expression, a work of public art hosting a continuous stream of conversations with numerous men and women participating and speaking their mind.
Each speaker presented his or her vision, inviting the audience to respond and speak into the open microphone on the site. The entire event was streamed live on Facebook.

Among the participants: Kes Samai, the Kes of the Ethiopian Jewish community in Rishon LeZion, and Chairman of the Spiritual Council Zera Aharon Kahanat; MK Prof. Yossi Yona, of Hamahane Hatzioni party, among the founders of the Mizrahi Democratic Rainbow; Shuli Levy, resident, Ramat Eliyahu; David Manzur, Head of the Administration for the Evacuation/Rebuilding of Ramat Eliyahu (Pinui-Binui Urban Renewal).

In the public space, a photograph was installed, the fruit of collaboration with the students of the Itamar Elementary School in an exhibit curated by Alma Shneor. In the open air marketplace square, a workshop on wooden models was held, with a mobile printshop to print words and design bags.
